Ready-to-wear exchanges
For eligible, regular-priced ready-to-wear garments, request an exchange within 7 calendar days of delivery or collection. Our voluntary change-of-mind policy offers an exchange or store credit, rather than a cash refund. This does not limit a refund you are entitled to by law.
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered and free from stains, perfume, make-up and damage.
- Include the original tags, packaging and any accessories supplied, together with your proof of purchase.
- Exchanges depend on stock availability. We will confirm any price difference before arranging the exchange.
- Sale items and personalised or altered garments are excluded from this voluntary exchange offer. Statutory rights still apply.
These condition requirements apply to voluntary exchanges only; they do not automatically disqualify a statutory return.
Online purchases
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, you may cancel an online purchase of goods without giving a reason within 7 days after receiving them. Only the direct cost of returning the goods may be charged. Payments must be refunded within 30 days of cancellation.
This cooling-off right excludes goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. A standard garment is not automatically excluded simply because it was ordered online. Contact us within the applicable period and keep a record of your cancellation.
Custom gowns & alterations
Bespoke wedding gowns, made-to-measure dresses and garments personalised or altered to your requirements are not covered by our voluntary change-of-mind exchange offer.
Please check your agreed design, measurements, fabric, colour and fitting details before approving your order. If you supplied incorrect measurements, or your requirements change, contact us to discuss alterations and any quotation. If we made an error or the garment does not meet the agreed specifications, tell us so we can address it. Your statutory rights remain protected.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Please report a concern as soon as you notice it, with your order details and photographs if available. There is no 24- or 48-hour reporting cut-off that removes your statutory rights.
Where sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act apply, goods that fail the required quality standards may be returned within 6 months of delivery, without penalty and at our risk and expense. You may choose a repair, replacement or refund. If a repair fails, or a further defect appears, within 3 months of the repair, the Act provides for a replacement or refund.
These protections also apply to custom and sale items where applicable. Damage caused by misuse or failure to follow care instructions will be assessed separately. If we sent the wrong item, we will arrange its return at our cost and the appropriate remedy.
Cancellations & deposits
Contact us promptly if you need to cancel an order. For custom work, we will review the agreed order terms, work completed and materials committed, and explain any lawful amount payable or refundable. A deposit is not automatically forfeited in every case. Any statutory cancellation right takes priority over our order terms.
How to arrange a return
- Get in touch. Email or WhatsApp our team with your name, order or invoice number, delivery date and the reason for your request. Please include proof of purchase and any helpful photographs.
- Arrange delivery. We will confirm the return or collection arrangements and the applicable remedy. Contacting us first helps us route your parcel; prior approval is not a condition of exercising a statutory right.
- Pack with care. Protect the garment and include its accessories and your order reference. Keep proof of handover or courier tracking.
For voluntary exchanges, return the item promptly after arrangements are confirmed. For a statutory claim, we may reasonably inspect the garment, but an inspection does not replace your rights or extend a legal refund deadline.
Refunds & return delivery
We will confirm the outcome and refund details in writing. Where a refund is due, we will use the original payment method where possible, or agree a suitable alternative with you. Store credit will not be imposed instead of a statutory refund. Refunds will be processed without unnecessary delay and within any applicable legal deadline.
For voluntary exchanges, you pay the return and replacement delivery costs, which we will confirm before arranging delivery. For an eligible online cooling-off cancellation, only the direct return cost may be charged. For qualifying defective goods or an incorrect item supplied by us, we cover the return costs. We do not apply a blanket non-refundable shipping rule to statutory returns.
Your consumer rights
This policy is subject to South African law. It does not exclude rights under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or other applicable law, including any additional cancellation or return rights. If a provision conflicts with the law, the law takes priority.
